Job Title: Fire Assay Manager Location: St Helens, UK Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum About the Role We are looking for an experienced Fire Assay Manager to join our team in St Helens. In this role, you will oversee the fire assay laboratory operations, ensuring high standards of quality control, safety, and efficiency. You will manage a team of skilled technicians and ensure that all fire assay processes are carried out in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage day-to-day operations of the fire assay laboratory. Ensure all fire assay tests are performed accurately and efficiently in accordance with established procedures. Oversee the preparation and analysis of samples, ensuring the highest standards of quality control and accuracy. Manage a team of fire assay technicians, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure their development and the smooth running of the lab. Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure that all instruments and tools are in good working condition. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all lab staff. Maintain accurate records of assay results, processes, and equipment maintenance. Work closely with senior management to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed. Liaise with clients and external stakeholders to address queries and ensure client requirements are met. Requirements Proven experience in a fire assay or laboratory management role. Strong understanding of fire assay techniques and principles. Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a laboratory environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
