We have a new opportunity to be part of the Race Team Operations team in the role of Race Team Operations Administrator.
In this role you will be required to:
1. Assist with the sea, air, and road freight operations, including preparation of required customs documents, invoices, Dangerous Goods, and liaising with suppliers as required within the timeframe agreed with freight forwarders.
2. Assist with non-race team air and road freight operations to ad hoc events, planning, documentation, loading/unloading as required.
3. Build relationships with required suppliers, raise necessary purchase orders to renew or repair equipment in a timely manner as required or dictated by the race events.
4. Assist with budgetary requirements, record keeping helping ensure the Race Team budgets are maintained.
5. Manage and request team Carnets requirements, looking after all relevant documents, tracking during the busy European season, and inventory of Carnets.
6. Ensure that air freight security protocol is always followed when preparing air freight.
7. Plan security training and race team H&S to fit around the season calendar, working with relevant departments and suppliers as required.
8. Work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.
9. Maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard.
10. Drive Company vehicles as required in a safe and professional manner.
Key skills:
1. Previous experience in a motorsport environment with logistics.
2. Ability to demonstrate good working relationships with internal departments and outside suppliers.
3. Computer literate with a good overall knowledge of Excel for budgeting, record keeping, and invoicing.
4. Ability to raise purchase orders and manage correct coding for budgets.
5. Self-motivated and able to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
6. Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
7. Strong written and oral communication and organisational skills.
8. Possess an innovative and flexible approach to creative problem solving and the ability to work through challenges in a scientific and analytical manner.
