Job Advertisement: Disability Support Worker
Location: Rochdale Area
Hours: Saturdays, 7-hour shift
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide essential assistance to individuals with disabilities in the Rochdale area.
Role Overview
In this role, you’ll support clients in leading fulfilling and independent lives by helping with their social, emotional, and daily living needs. You’ll play an important part in enabling them to participate in community activities, pursue hobbies, and engage with their surroundings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support clients in community involvement and recreational activities
2. Work closely with clients to promote independence and well-being
3. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
4. Provide high quality support to those living with a disability
5. Help individuals live happy and fulfilled lives through community experiences
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a support or care role is preferred, but not essential
2. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a positive attitude
3. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
4. Ability to travel within the Rochdale area
5. DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
6. Must feel confident driving a mobility van
