Caroola are looking to recruit an established and creative Salesforce Solutions Engineer. This role is pivotal to our IT / Change function and is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions to meet Caroola’s needs,. The primary focus will be on declarative automation using Salesforce Flow, as well as leveraging Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, and Experience Cloud. Key Responsibilities Salesforce Customization and Development Primary Focus: Design and develop automated workflows using Salesforce Flow to streamline business processes. Configure and optimize standard Salesforce features, including custom objects, fields, and layouts. Apex coding and Lightning Web Components (LWC) development as required for complex use cases. System Integration Work with the DevOps team to integrate Salesforce with third-party systems and applications via APIs (e.g., Mulesoft). Solution Design Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyze requirements. Translate business needs into scalable, low-code technical solutions using Salesforce declarative tools. Solve technical problems with an inquisitive and analytical approach. Testing and Deployment - Conduct unit testing and ensure proper QA procedures are followed. Deploy updates and solutions to production environments while minimizing downtime. Maintenance and Support Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce-related issues. Provide ongoing support and implement system enhancements as needed. Documentation Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions and integrations. Provide training and knowledge sharing for users and team members. Collaboration Work closely with Salesforce administrators, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver optimized solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications Ideally, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience. Experience of working with Salesforce, with a strong emphasis on declarative development (e.g., Flows, Validation Rules, Process Builder). Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development practices. Knowledge of DevOps tools like Gearset is a plus. Technical Skills: Expertise in Salesforce Flow Builder (Screen Flows, Record-Triggered Flows, Scheduled Flows, etc.). Strong understanding of standard Salesforce features and best practices for declarative development. Some familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) is helpful but not the primary focus of the role. Experience with Salesforce integrations and automation tools. Knowledge of source control tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) is beneficial. Strong understanding of database concepts and data modeling in Salesforce. Certifications (Preferred): Salesforce Administrator (strongly preferred). Salesforce App Builder (preferred). Salesforce Platform Developer I (nice to have but not required). Additional certifications such as Integration Architecture Designer are a plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; able to adapt style based on the audience. Self-starter with a passion for innovation and continuous learning. Note: While this role involves some traditional Salesforce development, the emphasis is on using declarative tools like Flow to automate and optimize business processes.
