Business Development Manager / Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer required to join an engineering distributor based in Andover, Hampshire.
The Business Development Manager / Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer will primarily focus on developing new business and increasing sales across the UK in different industries such as Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing and more.
This position is office-based in Andover with extensive travel required around the UK to meet clients. You will strategically plan which companies you want to target and then build and develop relationships with those accounts.
This role would suit someone in internal sales looking to progress into an external sales position or someone who has only been in external sales for a short amount of time and is looking to progress.

Responsibilities:
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK, nurture client relationships, and manage your sales pipeline through a CRM system.
2. Develop your client base across a range of industries such as Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing and more.
3. You will strategically plan which companies you want to target and then build relationships with them via phone, email, Teams and face-to-face meetings.
4. Work towards KPI's.
5. Support the sales lifecycle from lead generation to closure.
6. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director.
7. Provide monthly reports on your sales activity.
8. Office-based role in Andover, Hampshire with external travel to clients across the UK.
Requirements:
1. Prior experience in a sales role such as a Business Development Manager / Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Manager / Sales Executive or other relevant position in engineering.
2. Prior experience selling engineering products is advantageous although not mandatory.
3. Live within commutable distance to the office based in Andover, Hampshire.
4. This role would suit someone in internal sales looking to progress into external sales.
