Position Summary
The SCM Master Data & Inventory Control Steward plays a pivotal role in managing and maintaining site Master Data and Supply Chain analytics for a bustling 1,000 colleague animal health pharmaceutical manufacturing site. Collaborating closely with Business Process Key Users and stakeholders, this position ensures the accuracy and integrity of data within SAP/ERP and other relevant Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems. With a keen eye for detail and a dedication to efficiency, the Steward oversees data governance efforts, supports project launches, analyzes material usage variances, and manages inventory-related master data elements. This role serves as a linchpin for cross-functional communication and collaboration across the site and global markets, driving initiatives to enhance data management processes.
Position Responsibilities
1. SCM Knowledge: Apply expertise in supply chain principles encompassing manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and distribution.
2. Data Accuracy: Enforce data standards to guarantee accuracy in SAP/ERP and SCM systems.
3. Data Integrity: Oversee data governance to uphold integrity across platforms, ensuring adherence to master data standards.
4. Project / Launch Support: Assist in mass creation or modification of master data for new product launches or process changes.
5. Data Governance: Drive initiatives to optimize data management processes and rectify data quality issues.
6. Monthly SCM Performance Reports: Compile and analyze SCM performance metrics for informed decision-making.
7. Inventory-Related Master Data Management: Manage product master data, safety stock levels, and replenishment rules.
8. RID and Distressed Inventory Communication: Report updates on RID and distressed inventory to site leadership and finance.
9. Monthly Site Inventory Projection: Support inventory projection processes and optimize warehouse space utilization.
10. Analyze Material Usage Variances: Identify production model accuracy and areas for improvement through variance analysis.
11. Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Utilize WMS understanding to facilitate inventory movement and order fulfillment.
Education and Experience
12. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
13. Proficiency in enterprise-level master data systems with demonstrated ability to handle significant transactions.
14. Strong customer focus and clear communication skills.
15. Adaptability to dynamic conditions and priorities with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving.
Preferred:
16. Familiarity with databases and database processes.
17. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and drive outcomes.
Technical Skills Requirements
Required:
18. Effective problem-solving abilities to address discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
19. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Power BI for data manipulation and reporting.
20. Strong analytical skills for interpreting inventory data and identifying trends.
21. Meticulous attention to detail for maintaining data integrity.
22. Knowledge of MPS, MRP, and inventory management principles.
23. Decisiveness in making business-appropriate decisions.
24. Effective oral communication skills.
25. Proficiency in SAP and self-motivation to meet deadlines.
Preferred:
26. Familiarity with warehouse management processes and systems.
27. Experience in data analysis and reporting tools beyond Excel, such as Tableau or SQL.
28. Understanding of database structures and query languages.
29. Previous exposure to animal health pharmaceutical or similar industries.
