The Role REPORTS TO: Financial Controller We are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive to join our expanding Finance Team in what is a fast-growing and dynamic renewable energy Group. You might have had job titles such as Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator or Accounts Assistant previously. You know your way around finance operations in a busy and growing business. This role is pivotal in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, invoice processing, reconciliations, and a range of other accounting administration tasks. As part of a growing business, you will contribute to maintaining financial integrity and providing key financial information to support management accounting and other financial processes. Main Responsibilities Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. Manage invoice processing, including matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies. Oversee payment runs, ensuring adherence to financial controls. Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Support banking operations, including reconciliations and transaction processing. Assist in compiling financial data for management accounting purposes. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accuracy in all reconciliations. Collaborate with qualified accountants to ensure financial reporting accuracy. Handle additional finance-related administrative duties as required. Aid during audits and tax computations. Conduct monthly finance review meetings with project development teams. Prepare quarterly management accounts for investor reporting. Assist with the production of statutory accounts. Assist with quarterly loan draw down requirements. Support the annual budget process. What we look for in return Knowledge & Skills Proven experience in an accounts executive or similar financial operations role. Strong understanding of accounts payable, invoice processing, reconciliations, VAT returns, and payment processes. Experience working within a complex finance function, ideally within a growing or dynamic industry. Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Experience & Qualifications Previous experience in a Finance Operations Support Function in an agile industry Experience in working with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Experience working in a high-paced team environment Knowledge of Financial Systems (Sage Intacct preferable but not required) Ability to prioritise and pre-empt requirements What does our culture mean to us and you?
