HARWICH AND DOVERCOURT HIGH SCHOOL SPECIALIST SEMH TEAHCING ASSISTANT Pay Range: Local Government Scale 6 Actual Salary from: £13,050 – £13,930 (Points 13-17) This post is: 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term Time, plus non-pupil days) Start Date: ASAP The Role We are seeking an outstanding individual to assist the CASA Manager, as part of a professional team, to support the progress of students with high needs, particularly those with SEMH, attending a bespoke on-site provision. This will involve 1:1 and small group work as well as providing outreach support within the school and in other locations. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Identified students of high and moderate need within the onsite specialist provision Assist the CASA Manager to plan challenging teaching and learning programmes for high need and moderate need students. Use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support and progress pupils learning across faculties. To support Lead Practitioners in developing appropriate classroom strategies and resources to meet the needs of identified students.
