About the role
We are looking for an experienced R&D Raw Materials Associate based on the Hull site where you will be part of the R&D Operations Raw Materials Governance Team, Health & Hygiene. You will lead activities that are focused on ingredient resiliency and compliance on a global basis, with the aim of keeping our products compliant and future proofed.
Your responsibilities
1. Lead in collaboration with the Ingredient Assessment team the ingredient reviews in accordance with ISG priorities, cross BU, collecting R&D input and representing R&D at ISG Technical meetings and workstreams, improving communication and processes to increase proactivity.
2. Ensure adequate interaction with Global and Regional teams to help drive the outcome, for better planning and resiliency, including integration as part of the product development process
3. Support the Hygiene R&D Ops team to deliver the Hygiene Compliance plan, interfacing with key partners and stakeholders to drive strategy and prioritization of compliance and ingredient resiliency plans, and ensure “seamless” project execution and reporting.
4. Support the RM Governance Team Senior Manager in the implementation of a RM Data Collection team for Hygiene, prioritising ISG topics, where a scientific approach will need to be developed. This will require you to partner with the Health Data collection team, and cross functionally with Procurement, the R&D Ops teams and work with the various RAS and OpEx teams to ensure overall Raw Materials documentation needs are met.
The experience we're looking for
5. Science-based degree, with experience in an R&D or Regulatory environment, working with data systems (TDS, databases)
6. Effective communication & interpersonal skills - good influencing & networking
7. Strong science based knowledge of raw materials and substances
8. Results oriented, independent and self-motivated. Accurate, process-oriented and structured, able to work under pressure without compromise
9. Ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change.
10. Proven Project Management skills including timeline management and coordination of key stake holders.
11. Strong analytical skills: creative problem solver, aptitude to analyze and understand data in various forms, and provide both detailed and synthetic reporting
