Dependent on experience If you have a Quality Engineering technical background and are looking to grow your career by driving the introduction of modern quality engineering principles and processes, through ongoing assurance, coaching and troubleshooting, we’d love to hear from you We’re looking for someone with a real appetite for continuous improvement to join our team as an Assurance Lead, where alongside a Quality Engineering Assurance accountability, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our Solution Delivery Software, Integration and Platform Engineers comply with all relevant business and technical policies, and for ensuring that our third-party service providers meet and exceed expectations. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Driving the Adoption of Shift Left Testing and Quality Engineering Best Practices. Engaging with policy owners across the business (Quality, Security, Data, Cloud, Communications) to ensure alignment and compliance to policies and standards. Working with Solution Managers and Principal Engineers to identify and implement controls and broader process improvements and efficiencies. Identifying, recording, managing, and reporting on compliance gaps and process adoption risks. Preparing and supporting audit activities, including responding to queries. Establishing and maintaining performance, quality and productivity KPIs and measures. Establishing, maintaining and prioritising the improvements backlog, whilst working with suppliers and key stakeholders. Leading on the response and resolution of third-party service provider performance escalations. Experience in the application of modern engineering principles, specifically in the context of quality. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and underlying technologies, tools and processes e.g. Built-In Quality, Test-driven development, DevSecOps, Playwright, Selenium, Leapwork, .NET and React. Proven ability to manage and oversee third party resources. Good understanding of assurance processes and frameworks. Knowledge of technical policy definition and implementation. Working experience in a highly regulated organisation. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
