**Regional Technical Director – South – Global Construction Manufacturer**
We are currently recruiting for a world leading manufacturer in their field, they own companies across 100+ countries, have over 300 factories, 10,000+ employees and sales of £9+ billion in FY 2022. Last year alone they put their name to 85 new patents and invested over £190million into R&D/Innovation. The variety of subsidiaries create a range of solutions, all predominantly based around protecting, bonding or reinforcing materials.
We are looking for a Regional Sales Director to lead the specification and technical team for the South.
Role:
* Team Development and Team Leadership - Employs leadership techniques to lead, motive and develop the technical sales team to ensure each individual maximises their potential and achieve business objectives.
* Clear management of team and individual KPIs.
* Product & Service Development - Drives the development of the technical sales proposition of new and existing products in a manner to enable market acceptance of a full system route to market approach to achieve forecasted sales targets.
* Forecasting - Facilitate the exchange of information between customers, specification teams and other departments so that up to date information is available to all parties and a serviceable balance of supply and demand is maintained.
* Market Management - Coordinate the development of account plans in line with the sales/technical strategy, including the negotiation of trading terms, which will deliver the best possible balance of volume, product mix and profitability.
Candidate:
The ideal candidate will -
* Proven experience managing a technical team or strong management characteristics
* Specification experience within the roofing sector
* Proven experience of working with cross functional teams
* Excellent communications skills
* Problem solving
* Ability to deliver under pressure or in uncertain environment
* Ability to build strong relationships
