Pharmacy Technician (ACT and Medicines Management)
We have an exciting opportunity for Band 5 Pharmacy Technicians to join our friendly team.
This is a permanent vacancy for an accredited checking and medicines management pharmacy technicians based at Nevill Hall Hospital (NHH).
We are looking for a conscientious and adaptable individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our pharmacy team in delivering a high-quality clinical service.
Main duties of the job
The candidate must be an enthusiastic, motivated pharmacy technician, with an ability to multitask and work across several sections. Candidates would ideally have previous experience of providing a medicines management service to a clinical area and hold an accredited checking technician qualification, although we are happy to accept applications from individuals working towards these.
The role will be varied, covering acute wards, outpatients and dispensary sessions at Nevill Hall (NHH) and Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan (YAB). It will also include cover to mental health wards at peripheral hospital sites.
You must have a dispensing qualification - BTEC, NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent) and you must be a registered technician with a GPhC Membership Number to apply for this post.
We welcome applications from Pre-registration Pharmacy technicians in their second year of study who will be due to qualify and register with the GPhC soon.
You will participate in weekend and bank holiday rotas as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
