Purpose of Position:
The Mobilisation Technician primary responsibility is overseeing the process of safely and efficiently winding down a project or phase of operations. This role ensures that equipment, materials, etc are properly collated, transported, or disposed of in compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
The Mobilisation Technician’s secondary responsibility is to ensure the mobiliastion and shipments of equipment and consumables from varying locations worldwide is performed efficiently and cost effectively to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
* Project Close-Out: Plan and coordinate de-mobilization activities to ensure the smooth transition of resources, equipment, etc, off the site at the end of a project phase.
* Responsible for assisting with the mobilisation to all locations, assistance with purchasing, picking, packing and shipping.
* Logistics Coordination: Support the safe and timely transport of equipment, tools, and materials from the project site to storage facilities or other designated locations.
* Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of site materials and equipment being demobilized to ensure proper handover or disposal.
* Subcontractor Management: Manage any subcontractors involved in de-mobilization, ensuring they adhere to project schedules, safety guidelines, and contractual obligations.
* Documentation: Prepare de-mobilization documentation, including inspection reports, risk assessments, and lessons learned for future projects.
* Cost Management: Monitor de-mobilization costs, ensuring activities are completed within budget while identifying potential cost savings.
* Assist CRC Proposals department with any information required with process and quantity for transport, spares, plant and any other CRC equipment.
* Assist service delivery teams, working in conjunction with project engineers to support mobilisation, re-supply and demobilization on time in full to agreed budget.
* Problem Solving: Address any on-site issues or challenges related to the de-mobilization process, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Requirements:
* Good general education including GCSE in Math’s & English grade A-C.
* Proven experience in project de-mobilization or site closure, preferably within oil & gas.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Competence in using relevant software for reporting and project management (e.g., MS Office, project management – desirable)
