Job Title: Deputy General Manager
Location: West Hall, West Byfleet, Surrey, KT14 6EY
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £50,000 per annum
We’re seeking a dedicated Deputy General Manager to join our talented team at West Hall!
As our Deputy General Manager, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of outstanding care at West Hall across our three care lodges. You’ll ensure that our services not only meet but exceed expectations, working with our team to maintain a person-centred approach and create a vibrant, happy and supportive environment for both residents and colleagues.
About West Hall
West Hall is home to upto 117 residents across 3 luxury care lodges, we offer luxurious surroundings – through 11 acres of land and a listed manor house. Recognized with Outstanding ratings with CQC, we take pride in setting the standard for compassionate, innovative care.
What does it mean to be a Deputy General Manager at West Hall?
1. Champion Quality Care: Promoting individualized person-centred care, identify and report any risks or poor practice in line with Anchors safeguarding policy.
2. Drive Excellence: Supporting the General Manager in maintaining a financially sustainable and high-performing service. You'll make sure we meet our residents' needs while being resource efficient.
3. Resident Focus: Ensuring resident focus is at the heart of west hall – ensuring our residents wellbeing is always our priority - through welcome tours, new admissions, accurate care planning and building strong relationships with residents and their friends and family.
4. Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and encourage your team, including the three Lodge Managers, ensuring everyone feels valued, supported, and motivated. You’ll guide them to success through effective training, engagement, and professional development.
5. Inspire Success: Supporting the General Manager with the success of the home - through effective marketing, budget management, community engagement, driving occupancy / recruitment levels and overall resident experience.
Who are we looking for?
6. Experienced: A talented, experienced Deputy or Home Manager from a medium/large residential care home setting.
7. Knowledgeable: A strong understanding of CQC standards & compliance, and their impact in care management and practice.
8. People-Oriented Leader: Excellent leadership skills – promoting a supportive and inclusive workplace environment.
9. Caring: A complete understanding of the needs of older people.
