Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the working environment within the Catering department.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
MANAGEMENT: To deputise in the absence of the Hotel Services Manager in order to provide an efficient and high-quality service. Responsible for the supervision of all junior staff within the Catering department on a daily basis. Responsible for authorisation of clock cards and time sheets, liaising with the Payroll department in respect of any welfare/salary queries/complaints. Responsible for the compilation of monthly turnaround documents and forwarding to the Payroll department for processing.

Person Specification
Training & Qualifications
* Level 3 Food Safety Certificate NEBBS or Equivalent City & Guilds 706/1/2 or equivalent Qualification.
Knowledge & Experience
* Previous experience of working within a Catering Supervisory role.
* HACCP Catering Systems Dietary Knowledge Awareness of importance of Good Customer Care.
* Knowledge of Cafeteria style and buffet Service & functions.
* Knowledge of HR Procedures.
* Good Knowledge of Microsoft programmes, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Experience of training and induction of new staff.
* Able to lead staff through changes.
* Experience of NHS Catering - (Cook freeze system).
Skills
* Excellent organisational & leadership skills.
* Good standard of Numeracy and literacy.
