We’re seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our client’s Maintenance & Engineering team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving plant equipment, troubleshooting electrical faults, and ensuring production efficiency while minimising downtime. This role also requires mechanical knowledge to support a range of engineering tasks. Working a continental shift pattern. Key Responsibilities: Ensure all electrical work complies with Health & Safety regulations and industry standards. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical faults to maintain equipment reliability. Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems. Provide post-repair support to production teams for seamless operations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise machinery performance. Conduct inspections, adjustments, and real-time monitoring to prevent breakdowns. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Skills & Experience Required: Electrical bias with strong industry experience in maintenance engineering. Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience with PLC fault-finding, motors, control panels, and automation systems (preferred). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
