Family Support Worker – Early Help
Birmingham
15/07/2024 – 3 months initially
Monday to Friday, 8.45 – 5.15, 36.5 hrs/week
1. Direct working with children, young people and their families offering support and guidance
2. Using the early help assessment to identify needs and develop a support plan
3. Identify issues that require escalation
4. Deliver evidence based interventions to affect change
5. Support on healthy relationships, parenting, guidance and boundaries
6. Provide a timely response to the needs of children, young people and their families
7. Promote the welfare of children and young people
8. Work with key agencies to support the family’s needs and make positive changes
9. Keep and maintain records on work, preparing reports where necessary
10. Organise and chair case planning and review meetings, and attend conference meetings
Requirements
11. Recent experience in Family Support/ working with vulnerable children and families
12. Experience of delivering evidence based interventions
13. Experience of completing children assessment
14. Able to identify issues that require escalation and be able to escalate these
15. Willingness to undertake relevant training in order to comply with the requirements of the post
16. Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate that is registered onto the update service
