We re looking for a flexible, customer-focused individual to supervise Healthcare Assistants who welcome and support blood donors during donation sessions. Reporting to the Sister/Charge Nurse, you ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of sessions with a focus on clinical and operational excellence. If you have experience working with the public, excellent communication, leadership, and supervisory skills, and thrive under pressure, we want to hear from you. We ll provide intensive training in Donor Care skills, allowing you to confidently lead and work in various roles within six months. Beyond that, we ll support your growth in leadership, equipping you to excel in all aspects of this rewarding role. Main duties of the job In this role, you will be part of a team delivering professional, caring, and customer-focused service to blood donors. You will support the Sister/Charge Nurse by supervising Donor Carer staff, managing on-session activities, overseeing vehicle loading and unloading, session setup, and paperwork. You will also handle administrative tasks to support the team. Your role will include organizing session activities and ensuring donors are welcomed, their needs respected, and their contributions appreciated. Regular handling of blood bags, needles, and equipment up to 13 kg is required. You will help ensure every donor has a positive experience and feels encouraged to return. About You Experience and Knowledge Experience in dealing with the public and delivering quality customer care Able to demonstrate supervisory and leadership skills in a similar role or healthcare setting Experience of dealing with sensitive or confidential matters Experience in delivering quality care and service to donors or patients in a similar healthcare setting Experience of working with Information Technology information technology such as digital hand-held devices and Microsoft Office packages Qualifications and Training NVQ Level 4 in Customer Service, Business or equivalent qualification OR equivalent work experience (see Experience and Knowledge above) Willingness to learn new technology skills and undergo digital training About Us It takes all types of people to deliver the kind of service that saves and improves lives.
