Your new role
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will support all Group IT Infrastructure, security, and associated applications. You will manage network and communications systems, design and implement factory and site infrastructure, and collaborate with the Security team for technical assistance in security implementations and operations. You will manage Windows Servers both on-premise and in Azure, maintain backups across large multi-site IT infrastructures and cloud environments, and oversee operations across on-premise, hybrid, cloud, and multi-cloud infrastructures. Additionally, you will maintain a complex network of Active Directory and Azure AD, provide third-level support to high-calibre customers and personnel, resolve escalated incidents, and proactively support, maintain, and monitor all WAN networks, SDWAN, and IT infrastructure. You will also provide on-call support on a rota basis and implement and upgrade global systems, including server and application migration to the cloud, cybersecurity systems, LAN/WAN/SDWAN/SASE networking, Windows Servers and Hyper V Clusters, Exchange Online and MS365, and communication systems like CCX and Teams.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have 5+ years of experience in a similar senior infrastructure role, with expertise in network and communications systems, including Cisco network infrastructure (CCNA/CCNP preferred). Experience in cybersecurity systems delivery and operations, including EDR, SIEM, patching, email security, web proxies, and firewalls, is essential. You should be proficient in Windows Server and Hyper V, and have experience with IAAS, PAAS, SaaS platforms (Microsoft certifications for Cloud Engineering and Azure are advantageous). Knowledge of Microsoft Server OS (Windows 2012, 2016, 2019) with Microsoft certification is an advantage. You should be able to proactively use security and network monitoring tools, have experience working towards KPIs and SLAs, and possess excellent communication skills. The ability to work well under minimal supervision and with a high degree of responsibility, strong prioritisation skills, and the ability to deliver objectives are crucial. Dedication to providing customer service and managing relationships, proficient problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines are also important. Experience of performing Level 3 support, a high degree of flexibility towards working hours, an enthusiastic can-do attitude, and being a team player are essential. A current driving licence and own transport, along with a willingness to travel globally, are required.
