A FTSE 100 (commercial) business is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor who will be responsible for a wide range of internal audit assignments which will help with the ongoing management of risks and issues across the group. This is a fantastic opportunity as this role is expected to be an progressive, into the Group in the form of a operational role in one of the production companies or as a development role up within the IA team up to Internal Audit Manager - a natural progression for individuals who show skill, enthusiasm and commitment. The role will involve a significant level of liaison with all the operating companies within the Group, and the main responsibilities will include: Work with the Internal Audit Manager to enable an on-going programme of internal audits; Own the audit planning and risk coverage process arranging audit timings with the Finance Directors of the various operating companies; Create bespoke audit programmes to effectively test the control environment of a wide variety of different production companies, specifically balance sheet reviews and cost audits; Plan and deliver end-to-end audits across production, financial and compliance operational areas; Co-ordinate and work with the shareholders' internal audit teams as necessary; Consolidate and detail the outcome of the internal audit reviews in a report with value add and practical recommendations that will be shared with senior stakeholders; Analyse and conclude on the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and controls including prioritization of audit recommendations; Track audit recommendations to ensure that implementation is achieved against targets and remediation is effective; Ad hoc projects or reviews that may be required in response to issues or concerns raised within the company. We are looking for an Internal Audit / Risk Advisory professional with a Big4/Top 10 training, either in external/internal audit. Experience working in the a commercial (non-FS) industry would be a plus. We are also seeking a person with a hands-on, energetic, and proactive self-starting personality, who is able to work to tight deadlines and manage projects through to closure. As this role is rather autonomous, the candidate will be an outstanding communicator, who gets on with people and has the confidence to build relationships at all levels both internally and externally. The candidate must be willing to travel (around 30-40%), all over the world.
