Mechanical Fitter/ Production Assembler

Mechanical Fitters/Production Assemblers urgently required to work for a specialist engineering and manufacturing business based near Woking. We are looking for experienced fitters and assemblers who can work to engineering drawings and build a wide range of mechanical products and equipment. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a new challenge and wants to put their assembly, fitting, and production experience to the test!
We are looking for people at any stage of their career, who have focus, drive, and a passion for engineering. This role will give you the opportunity to work within assembly, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment that has come back from customer sites. A real opportunity to work with interesting products, customers, and for a rapidly growing business!
To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of mechanical assembly and be able to assemble a wide range of equipment manufactured on site in aluminium or steel prior to being dispatched all over the world for installation on customer sites. This opportunity will allow you to work on specialist equipment and also make suggestions for improvements to enhance customer products.
We are looking for people who are happy to crack on, take positive instruction, and want to grow within the business!
This role has the opportunity for real career progression into a team lead and then field service-based roles, with live examples of fitters who are now travelling the world doing installations, repairs, and maintenance, having started in the workshop.
Responsibilities:
* Mechanical Assembly/Fitting
* Reading drawings to assemble a full range of products, including Ground Support Equipment, structures, platforms, and containers
* Access Equipment - steps (all sizes), docking, and gantries
* Use of hand tools and power tools such as drills, grinders, and sanders
* Packing and protection of parts and products for shipping
* Measuring of parts and components
* Work as part of a team
* Communicate and work professionally around customers
* Ensuring that the company quality procedures are followed and reviewed accordingly with the quality representative
