We are a busy veterinary practice in West Berkshire and are expanding our nursing team, looking to recruit a trainee Nurse. The role will require working on a rota at all three branches in Newbury, Tadley, and Thatcham. You will receive full training for the role with the aim of achieving a qualification in veterinary nursing. You will be working alongside our large team of qualified registered nurses and veterinary surgeons to support the health and welfare of our small animal patients. We are all passionate about animal health and educating pet owners. We would also love to hear from veterinary nurses already in training and enrolled with the RCVS.

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is a busy Equine Hospital based in Newbury, Berkshire. Our main Hospital has RCVS Tier 3 hospital status and is located in Newbury, a thriving town in West Berkshire, with many restaurants and only a 45-minute train journey to London Paddington. Situated on the edge of the North Wessex Downs AONB, it also provides beautiful local countryside for long walks with our canine friends. The branches at Tadley and Thatcham are both located within a short distance of Newbury and are fully equipped for surgical procedures and digital diagnostic imaging.
More about you
We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working, responsible, and driven individuals. Ideally, you will already have experience working within the animal sector and a desire to work in the veterinary profession.
As a potential candidate, you will have achieved grade 4-9 or A-C in five GCSEs, including maths, English, and science, as well as hold a full UK driving license. This is a full-time position which includes twilight and weekend shifts working on a rota.
Your shift pattern
This is a full-time role comprising a variety of shifts across 39 hours per week. This will also include out-of-hours and weekends on a rota.
