Pertemps Daventry are currently recruiting for a Logistics Administrator for one of our established clients based in a local village just outside Daventry.
Duties
* Responsible to Account Managers to assist in the following:
* Raising all paperwork for dispatch of Sales Orders.
* Arranging transport for dispatches (both imports and UK to UK dispatches).
* Booking transport and producing documentation for both domestic and export dispatches.
* Arranging collections of goods inward as required.
* Liaison with shipping agents to determine best rates, booking transport, and ensuring delivery.
* Labelling pallets in the warehouse.
* Posting/reconciling materials & transport invoices.
* Raising paperwork & invoices for export sales.
* Warehouse goods in control and occasional pick/pack duties - holiday cover etc.
* Assisting with other office duties as required.
* Training.
* H&SE Procedures.
* QA Familiarisation.
* Additional IT training and other skills awareness training.
Candidate Requirements
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good telephone manner.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
* Experience working within a busy, sensitive environment.
* Possession of a FLT Licence would be an advantage (training can be given for occasional loading/unloading of goods/pallets).
* Familiar with export documentation, i.e., commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificate of origin, etc.
