Contracts Manager – Principal Contractor / Major re-clad
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager, ideally with a Main Contractor Background and some exposure to Façade installs.
Previous experience in re-cladding / curtain wall / cladding experience within the 'decent homes' 'social housing' or facades sectors may be of an advantage but the ability to run multi-million pound contracts is essential.
This is a role that offers working within a great company who are in the middle of significant expansion. You may have been a Project Manager with experience of multiple projects looking for your next step up or a Contracts Manager who is looking for a challenge with a growing contractor. Great Management skills along with the ability to lead Teams, grow Teams and oversee your given projects on time and in budget is imperative.
.Contracts Manager Role and responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor the delivery of the specified contract to a strategic plan to incorporate H&S, time, quality, and budget.
• Report to the Board of Directors about the performance of the projects and business improvements that can be made.
• Manage the client relationship.
• Manage, motivate, and appraise senior management, project team and supply chain within the project. • Liaise with QS, H&S, D&Q, ISO,CC and other managers within the company, in order to ensure delivery of the project snag free.
• Liaise with finance, procurement and estimating as required, to ensure delivery of contracts.
• Assist with tenders when required. Contract Manager Key tasks
• Management of specified project to the agreed deadlines and budgets.
• Work with commercial manager to ensure orders, budgets and costs are managed.
• Work with H&S and D&Q managers to ensure total compliance on site.
• Work with clients, their project managers and key stakeholders.
• Work with Customer service manager to manage and resolve residents' issues to their satisfaction.
• Ensure all project issues are raised and dealt with appropriately.
• Manage project meeting requirement and reports as set out in the IMS system.
• Creation, management and monitoring of the strategic project plan and associated budget, working closely with commercial, QS and H&S.
• Line management of senior project staff. Contracts Manager Competencies
• Technical - experienced within construction for medium/large projects (£ms)
• CSCS black card (contracts manager).
• Asbestos awareness, scaffold inspection and first aid certificates.
• Programme and project management - manage production of competent GANTT charts including critical path analysis, interpretation of requirements, tracking of financial information.
• Site management certificate including Health & Safety, Construction Design & Management regulations.
General IT:
• Competent user MS Word, ASTA, MS Excel, Microsoft Outlook email and calendars
