Did you know that over 157 million litres of water a day is lost across Northern Ireland as a result of leakage from the network?
If you are fed up sitting behind a desk and thrive on being outdoors, then this could be the role for you!
As a Leakage Detection Operative, the work will be outdoors in both urban and rural areas in Northern Ireland, conducting manual surveys of water network assets in an allocated area looking for leaks in the water system. You will then follow up investigations based on your findings, pinpointing the leak and reporting it to the water utility for repair.

* Carrying out leakage detection surveys and investigations
* Using specialist equipment to pinpoint leak locations underground, such as correlators
* Setting up and deploying acoustic and hydrophone loggers on fittings in the water network
* Checking the status of valves on the water network
* Network monitoring and verification using flow and pressure logging equipment
* Flow logging domestic and industrial customers
* Conducting flow and pressure tests on the network
* Conducting unaccounted for water investigations
You will gain practical skills, knowledge and hands-on experience by working alongside our experienced team and following a structured training plan, including courses delivered by industry leaders.
