My client, a Tier One Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced and driven Sub Agent to join their existing team on a prestigious £100M infrastructure project in York. This ambitious project involves the development of essential infrastructure that will leave a lasting impact on the region.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and delivering key aspects of the project while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Project Features include the construction of a new road bridge and footbridge over the East Coast Main Line, delivery of 2km of single carriageway road with segregated cycle and pedestrian paths, development of a rail spur to the National Railway Museum, earthworks, and site-wide utility works.
Responsibilities:
1. The delivery of Health, Safety, and Environmental presentations. Examples include project inductions, toolbox talks, and team briefings. Provides input on the content of presentations.
2. Manage, supervise, and mentor graduate, site, and section engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and project records.
3. Implementation of company quality control processes including the preparation and/or review of Inspection & Test Plans. Can readily display advanced knowledge of key packages such as concrete, drainage, steelwork, and brickwork.
4. Preparation and monitoring of 4-weekly construction programmes or, where appropriate, provide information to the project planner to allow programmes to be updated.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Experience in the Design Management Process.
2. Temporary works experience.
3. Understanding of current H&S legislation.
4. Experience managing a team of engineers.
