We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Back Care Team as a Senior Manual Handling Technician. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to the delivery of training and learning opportunities across all UHDB sites and to our external partners.

Main duties of the job
About the Role
The focus of this role is to deliver practical training to a wide range of learners, including staff, patients, and carers, to develop their knowledge and skills in safe moving and assisting practices.
As the successful candidate you will lead and participate in:
* Planning, organising and delivering practical training to learners, staff across all groups, patients, and carers (where applicable).
* Equipping learners with the knowledge and skills needed in safe moving and assisting practices, along with related subject areas.
* Supporting the development of a safe, effective, and competent clinical workforce.
* Collaborate with other Learning Facilitators to support training for learners at the university base, ensuring they are well-prepared for placements and able to deliver safe patient care.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
* Extensive experience of working within a Healthcare Professional role
* Knowledge of the Derbyshire Inter Agency Group (DIAG) and Risk Assessment process.
* Teaching and assessing experience.
* Flexibility to meet the needs of the role and the service.
* A passion for teaching and developing others.
* A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Eager to develop their skills and grow into a leading role within training delivery.

* Able to work all 5 sites and external partners
* Registered Nursing Associate/Therapy Assistant Practitioner or equivalent experience of working in the specific field of Moving & Handling
* Experience of delivering training in the clinical setting
* Evidence of working with patients, clinical staff, and families
* Ability to guide and advise staff in the handling of patients with complex needs, following the guidance of the Manual Handling Advisor
