IT Manager
4.5 day week – office based role
Chemring Energetics UK is a global business providing a range of equipment based on energetic materials for defence, civil defence and key commercial customers.
We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Manager to oversee all IT functions across our organisation, excluding ERP support. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and effectiveness of all data, communication systems, and networks at our Ardeer site.
The IT Manager will play a key role in delivering reliable IT hardware and services to all employees, working closely with the Group IT function to implement group-wide initiatives and maintain compliance with Cyber Essentials+ standards. You will be instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring IT infrastructure is fit for purpose, and supporting the company’s operational success through effective technology management.

Key Accountabilities & Duties:
* Carry out all activities in full compliance with H&SE legislation, within company policy and procedure.
* Responsible for reporting any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed (using the Near Miss System) in accordance with responsibilities under the Health and Safety at work Act.

* Provide system support and solutions for network, software and hardware while complying with legislative requirements.
* Implement Chemring Group PLC Head Office ICT strategy within CEUK.
* Maintain minimum cyber essentials + IT working environment.
* Quickly resolve system vulnerabilities when they arise.
* Work closely with Chemring Group Peers to share learnings across the businesses and implement best practice.
* Ensure all telecommunication services are available to support the business.
* Develop IT systems to ensure they are secure, up to date and efficiently delivered to all parts of the site. Ensure that any system downtime is kept to a minimum.
* Manage specific business projects to meet local business requirements meeting cost, time and service demands.
* Develop IT team to be up to date and qualified to deliver the requirements of CEUK and Chemring Group in terms of network, software and hardware.
* Manage external relationships with network, data and telecommunication providers including all phone and data packages.
* Manage the ICT budget within agreed limits.
* Responsible for carrying out all direct staff objectives and reviews
