Job Title: Logistics Production Manager x 4 (2 x Days, 1 x Late & 1 x Night)
Salary: £39,900 - £48,000 depending on experience + shift allowance afternoons 20% and nights 27%
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
The Opportunity
As a Logistics Production Manager, you will oversee logistics to maximize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring safety and motivating employees to meet targets.
What you will do:
* Safety and Improvement: Monitor and enhance safety conditions, eliminate unsafe behaviours, and ensure adherence to safety procedures. Implement value stream improvements, teach Lean methodology, and drive defect reduction through RCCA and PID.
* Process and Performance Management: Organize and prioritize jobs, adjust staffing to meet requirements, and oversee section status reporting. Monitor and improve KPIs through continuous improvement.
* Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain reports on production processes, tool issues, performance, and inventory. Ensure all processes and products meet safety and quality standards.
* Team Supervision and Development: Supervise daily activities of logistics operatives, assign tasks, and ensure team coordination. Train and develop staff, manage scheduling and conflicts, and promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
What You Can Demonstrate:
* Leadership: Guides and mentors others on concepts, techniques, and leadership behaviours, while promoting a culture of inclusion and driving the organization towards its vision.
* Planning and Organizing: Anticipates and addresses challenges by raising awareness of potential bottlenecks, breaking tasks into manageable steps, and escalating concerns over conflicting priorities.
* Logistics Operations: Ensures smooth operations by monitoring adherence to policies, facilitating cross-department communication, and evaluating risks and safety hazards in manufacturing.
Top Candidates will also have:
* SAP experience highly desirable.
* Logistics planning experience desirable.
