Secondary School KS3/KS4 Geography Teacher - October Start
Class Cover are seeking an experienced Geography Teacher to teach geography to students at the secondary level.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality geography lessons that align with the national curriculum and school guidelines.
2. Assessment: Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress, provide feedback, and prepare students for national examinations.
3. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and manages classroom behavior effectively.
4. Student Support: Provide additional support to students who require extra help, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress.
5. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to keep up-to-date with educational best practices and geographical knowledge.
6. Department Contribution: Collaborate with colleagues to develop the geography curriculum, share teaching resources, and contribute to departmental meetings and initiatives.
7. Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by following school policies on safeguarding and child protection.
Qualifications:
1. Education: A degree in Geography or a related field. A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Experience: Previous experience teaching geography at the secondary school level is preferred.
