I am working with a client that is looking for a stock controller/material scheduler for a job in Caldicot.
Core Responsibilities
1. Order Management: Place and track material orders according to production schedules and inventory needs.
2. Inventory Monitoring: Regularly monitor inventory levels, minimise obsolete stocks, and reduce liability.
3. Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and address potential delays.
4. Data Management: Maintain accurate records in the MRP system.
5. Problem Solving: Quickly address stock shortages, delays, and other disruptions, keeping internal teams informed.
6. Collaboration: Work with internal teams to align material schedules with business requirements.
7. Supplier Relations: Support supplier meetings, negotiations, and evaluations to ensure supplier performance aligns with business needs.
8. Process Optimisation: Identify and implement strategies to improve inventory management and optimal stock levels.
To be considered for the role you will ideally have experience of completing a similar job and have a B1 Counter Balance fork-lift Ticket.
