Job Description
Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client who are an award-winning, privately-owned housebuilder across multiple locations across the South Midlands. Due to recent growth and securing a substantial amount of land, they are now looking for an experienced Site Manager to help deliver their schemes. As part of the Site Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the implementation of procedures and strategies to drive production on site.
To be considered for this role you will be:
1. Experienced within the new build housing sector
2. SMSTS
3. Proven track record implementing procedures, driving production and successful delivery
4. Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities:
1. Implementation of any relevant in-house Production, Sales & Customer Care procedures
2. Work within the team to maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction results including the satisfaction of any external clients and/or stakeholders
3. Monitor health, safety and welfare of all site personnel and visitors
4. Ensure works are carried out in-line with approved method statements
5. Carry out thorough on-site inductions to new site-based staff and sub-contractors
6. Responsible for the implementation and delivery of project in line with programme
7. Ensure site presentation and all housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard at all times
8. Identify, feedback and liaise with necessary individuals or Company to resolve on-site difficulties or problems
9. Management of site traffic
10. Responsible for the management of on-development Sub-Contractors
11. Liaise with NHBC/Building Control body/specialist consultant
12. Ensure sensible level of stock control in accordance with build requirements
13. Carry out maintenance inspections in line with Company procedures
14. Motivate, support and manage directly employed site staff
15. Ensure all site administration is carried out in accordance with Regional Office requirements
16. Attend (and chair when necessary) on-site meetings
17. Compiling all relevant information and records suitable for the health and safety file
Experience:
1. High level of expertise within the social housing sector
2. A proven track record of liaising between the client and sub-contractors to meet deadlines
3. A proven track record in ensuring RAMS and health and safety targets are met
4. Experience in motivating, supporting and managing a team on site
5. Experience of devising and developing build programmes
Qualifications Required:
1. 5 years or more in a Site Management role
2. NVQ Level 3-4, BTEC Diploma in Building Construction or similar
3. Valid LOLER Certificate
4. Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety obligations and Building Regulations
5. Current full UK drivers’ licence
6. CSCS Card at Site Manager level (ideally MAPS)
7. Valid SMSTS certificate
8. Valid First Aid at Work certificate
9. Valid Scaffold Inspection certificate or similar
10. Valid Fire Marshal certificate
