We are looking for a confident Engineering Manager who can lead a team of 14 made up of engineers, apprentices, and support technicians to ensure all PPM and reactive maintenance is performed to the highest standard. Working in this busy, highly automated distribution centre just outside of Mansfield, having undergone millions of pounds of investment, you will be at the forefront of technology.
Working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will need to be a strong communicator and organized. This is a position that offers variation supporting the senior team and leading the engineering team from the front, providing technical and hands-on support.

The role as Engineer Shift Manager:
1. Attend handover meetings with the wider senior engineering team.
2. Planning and organizing of the Engineering Team, delegating the schedule of planned maintenance.
3. Respond to breakdowns.
4. Mentoring and leading the team.
5. Strong attention to detail.
6. Management of system and equipment incidents.
7. Manage spare parts and monitor inventory and usage.
8. Strong understanding of control systems including WMS, SCADA.
9. Ensure the team is working within the H&S guidelines at all times.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience for an Engineering Shift Manager:
1. Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering NVQ Level 3.
2. Experience with leadership within an automated environment.
3. Hydraulic and Pneumatic knowledge.
4. Experience with engineering stores and CMMS systems.
5. Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
6. HNC/HND would also be desirable.
