Where you fit in: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled research professional who will support Yorkshire Water in placing our customers at the heart of our business. This individual will provide robust customer and stakeholder insights to inform and shape the development and delivery of our services. Using both qualitative and quantitative research techniques, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving our ability to connect with and understand our customers through the latest customer and economic research thinking and techniques, while keeping abreast of new developments, benchmarking, and testing our capability. Key accountabillities for this role include reflecting customer and stakeholder insights in a timely and consistent manner, commissioning, managing and developing primary research projects, supporting the development, implementation, and delivery of our company and regulatory business strategy, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation, conducting focus groups and in-depth interviews with colleagues and customers, and ensuring a solid financial management and commercial awareness when making research decisions. The candidate will be able to apply their knowledge and experience of best practice when it comes to the management and execution of qualitative and quantitative projects, fieldwork and reporting. What skills and qualifications you will need: Relevant experience or qualifications in research, economics, statistics, or marketing Good experience of conducting and undertaking qualitative research techniques such as in-depth interviewing and focus group moderation in order to help leverage internal insight generation and ideation through stakeholder engagement and facilitation. Proven experience in supporting and embedding change, influencing and driving the right culture and behaviours, and the capability, energy, and tenacity to deliver sustainable performance against challenging business targets. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral, and with the ability to communicate and engage with people at all levels Highly organised, able to manage conflicting priorities of multiple stakeholders Knowledge of the water industry and the regulated environment is desirable.
