Job overview
The registrar will work independently in Acute geriatric ward in Stoke Mandeville hospital reviewing acutely unwell frail older patients and the common problems they present with (i.e.: falls, confusion, decreased mobility, weight loos, etc), by performing a multidisciplinary comprehensive geriatric assessment. They will also see admission-avoidance cases requiring ambulatory management plans and liaison with other community services.
Main duties of the job
Daily Commitments
Daily ward round of inpatients, mainly Elderly Care plus a proportion of GIM patients with junior teams and Consultant supervision. Independent reviews of frail older patients in MUDAS, preventing admissions and working as part of a multidisciplinary team for older people.

10. UK GMC Registration with License to Practice
11. Full MRCP
12. ALS Certificate in date
Experience

13. Ability to demonstrate broad clinical skills in the management of all patients.
14. 24 months general professional training experience at SHO level in general and acute medicine
15. Experience working at IMT3 or ST3 level
