If you are an experienced social worker, OT or mental health nurse, we would love you to join our team in the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service - PATH (Psychosis: Prevention, Assessment and Treatment in Hertfordshire). Our service users are people experiencing psychosis for the first time and we are committed to delivering personalised and meaningful care.
The role will be working in the West of Hertfordshire in a specified geographical area, based in St Albans & Harpenden.

Main duties of the job
You will be:
1. an active member of a skilled multi-disciplinary team
2. working together with your colleagues to provide our PATH service in our St Albans and Harpenden Team
3. covering a designated locality - not the whole county
4. travelling less and working out in the community, both in people's homes and our local hub buildings
5. training as a family intervention therapist
You will be passionate in the delivery of recovery based and collaborative approaches to care planning, working flexibly and creatively with people in order to achieve their individual goals.
If you are a qualified social worker, this role attracts a Golden Hello of £3,500, new employees only.
£1,500 on commencement and £2,000 on completion of one year's employment.
Job description
You will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary Community Team, responsible for the clinical and operational day-to-day service delivery, providing a high quality social care service to adults of all ages having First Episode Psychosis (FEP). The core functions are to provide assessment, care planning and care co-ordination, including care programme approach, within a framework of recovery which embraces each individual's right to choice and control.

1. Education to degree level or Academic qualifications equivalent (Diploma/Degree in Mental Health Nursing /Social Work / Occupational Therapy)
2. Registration with NMC/ HCPC
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
1. Post-registration experience including solid Band 5 experience
2. Experience of working in acute mental health inpatient/day care services
3. Experience of working in situations of crisis and emotionally demanding environments
4. Experience and knowledge of safeguarding processes dealing with family breakdown, serious mental ill health and risk of self-harm.
5. Experience of partnership working with service users and carers, demonstrating dignity and respect
Communication skills

1. Excellent ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders including service users and carers, other professional colleagues, members of other organisations and local communities, verbally and in writing
2. Experience of using electronic recording systems and ability to produce accurate, appropriate and timely reports.
