Job Description:

Responsibilities:
1. Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance, including observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problems, dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, examining parts for imperfections, adjusting functional parts, repairing or replacing defective parts, testing devices for performance, and reconditioning machine tools.
2. Identifies and sources parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
3. Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
4. May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools; may perform welding tasks.
5. Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
6. Drives and participates in CI activities - processes, results, and cost savings.
7. Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
8. Troubleshoots and analyses control systems to resolve software/hardware and configuration problems.
9. Utilises predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
10. Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams; performs more advanced functions as part of training and development.
11. Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
12. Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines; identifies unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Three or more years of related experience in general industry; or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
2. Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; can analyse problems and perform repairs.
3. Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialised tools as appropriate.
4. May be required to travel.
5. High degree of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
6. Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication, people skills, and good organisational skills.
8. Ability to work well under pressure.
