As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex cases involving children on Child Protection Plans and Child in Need Plans. Your expertise and experience will be crucial in providing high-quality, evidence-based interventions that ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. You will also have some involvement in court proceedings, requiring a thorough understanding of legal processes and excellent report-writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of complex child protection and child in need cases.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and their families.
3. Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams.
4. Provide expert guidance and support to less experienced social workers.
5. Prepare and present detailed reports for court proceedings, attending court as required.
6. Engage effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
8. Participate in regular supervision, training, and continuous professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
9. Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England
10. Ability to manage a complex caseload and meet deadlines.
11. Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
