Role summary:
The role reports to the Senior HR Business Partner. This role is a key member of the HR Team. As a HR Administrator with GB News you will be assisting the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives. You will support the full employee lifecycle in a fast pace, changing environment.
This is an important role as the successful candidate will be the first point of contact in the HR department. This is a fast paced, hands-on role covering all aspects of HR administration which will suit an ambitious person who is focused on being part of change and processes to make the department more efficient. With a lean organisation structure, the role requires someone with strong administrative and organisational skills.
Key responsibilities and main tasks:
* Coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs
* Lead and manage the onboarding process, including managing pre- employmentchecks
* Deliver a start-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and selection.
* Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
* Supporting line managers with advice and guidance on probation period, absence management and policies and procedures
* Answering any employee inquiries
* Manage and maintain employee benefits and portals
* Support with Payroll using our HR system, this will include ensuring any overtime or additional payments are authorised and processed.
* Other appropriate duties as required
The ideal candidate:
* Strong administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail
* Excellent organizational skills
* Problem solving abilities
* Previous experience within a HR Department
* Knowledge of UK employment legislation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* CIPD qualified would be advantageous but is not essential
* Competent in IT literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and googlesuite.
* Payroll experience strongly desirable
* Be an ambassador for GB News
