We’re excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Night Shift Operator to join a forward-thinking and supportive client based in Colnbrook, Berkshire. This permanent, full-time role is perfect for an experienced professional seeking stability and growth within a company renowned for its excellent work environment and friendly management.
Role Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of handling AOG/time-sensitive shipments, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently. Key duties include:
* Managing Export shipments via air and road, responding to customer requests through telephone and email.
* Preparing and collating Export documentation, including HAWBs/MAWBs, customs formalities, post-flight, security procedures, and shipment routing.
* Liaising with airlines and transport services for seamless shipment coordination.
* Ensuring AWBs are completed and rated accurately as per IATA/Airline regulations.
* Handling customs documentation, including IPR/OPR/Export Licences.
* Managing pre-alerts, post-flights, and cross-trade movements.
* Providing accurate quotations and maintaining high levels of customer service.
What You’ll Need:
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following:
* Experience in AOG exports within a freight forwarding company.
* Familiarity with aerospace and shipping aircraft parts.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Confidence in working independently during night shifts.
* Proficiency with Boxtop/e-Customs & CDS, as well as Microsoft Office.
* Strong customer service skills and excellent communication.
* Reliable, with good timekeeping and attendance.
* Willingness to cover opposite shift holidays when required.
* A car driver, due to the location.
* UK residency and the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
