You will be working with the head of design assisting the development of design procedures. You will also be required to represent the company at meetings with their customers and / or aviation authoritiesResponsibilities: Preparation of design documentsPreparation of design drawingsLiaison with customers to address design requirements/delivery dates/queriesChecking drawings and/or documentsMaintaining an awareness of current aeronautical practices/issuesContinued professional development: attending training courses, seminars, etc.Ensuring that all design procedures are adhered toAssisting with customer quotations where requestedAdhering to project timescales/time management of own projects/cost trackingParticipating with EASA auditsDeveloping internal procedures and processesOn - site aircraft surveysApproval of external testing facilitiesPeer group training, e.g. mentoring new staff, developing existing staff knowledgeLiaison with European Aviation Safety Agency EASA or tasked National Aviation Authority NAAAddressing in - service difficulty reports/design queries after completion of a designProviding on - site assistance to aircraft maintenance staffRequirements:EssentialMust have at least 10 years\\\' experience of working within an EASA Design Organisation EnvironmentExperience within an UK MAA DAOS Organisation EnvironmentA minimum of 10 years working within a Design Office environment producing drawings and reportsDesiredAvionics/electrical design and documentation, including but not limited to:Specifying items of equipment being installedPlug/socket connector identificationEquipment Software ManagementEnvironmental testing requirementsGauge and specification of wires and cables to be usedSpecifying power bus to be used for the installed equipmentSpecifying parts listsGeneral arrangement of instrument panelsElectrical load analysisReviewing equipment approvals, e.g. TSO, ETSOEMC/ HIRF testing/ documentationWeight and balance schedule amendment instructionsAir test/post flight evaluation requirementsHow to apply:If you are interested finding out more about this opportunity, please submit your CV via the link provided and I will contact you shortly for a confidential discussion.
