About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Brand Designer (Maternity Cover) to join our busy, award-winning Brand, Marketing and Future Students team.
Reporting to the Head of the Brand, Marketing and Future Students Team, you will lead the three-person Brand Team comprising this role, line managing the Graphic Designer and a Junior Graphic Designer.
The post holder will be responsible for the output of the Brand Team - supplying high quality, on-brand design across print and digital channels, embracing innovative thought processes and on-trend methods, providing work to a diverse range of briefs from a variety of University stakeholders, as well as being a strong advocate and advisor for the AUB brand. The role will support the student recruitment efforts of the department and the planning and implementation of content for campaigns, as well as overseeing the rollout of a project currently underway to optimise AUB’s marque.
The Senior Brand Designer will be an ambassador for brand-led marketing theory and practice within the wider university, and have the commensurate communications’ skills to be effective in this role with stakeholders across the organisation - in Marketing, Events, International, Student Services, HR, Access and Participation, academic course teams and also with Senior Management.
Educated to degree level, the post holder will have a solid knowledge and experience of the technical practices relevant to graphic design, including design software, printing methods and digital formats. They will ideally also have a good knowledge of HTML5 production and design. They will be responsible for assigning and managing projects to the Graphic Designer and Junior Graphic Designer, giving them mentoring and guidance as appropriate, as well as leading on solo projects where required.

In meeting your performance expectations, each year you’ll have a salary increase in line with the grade of your role. As well as this, there is an annual cost of living increase.
