We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team of specialist midwives to deliver exceptional, patient focussed care to a diverse and expanding portfolio of patients., To contribute to the development and update of plans of care for the woman with diabetes in conjunction with the multi-professional team. Leads change to improve patient experience, service provision and reduce variance in care as appropriate, whilst encouraging others to be innovative and adaptable in their approach to delivering services. Promote the health and safety of patients, the public and staff by taking responsibility within their area for identifying hazards and assessing risks, ensuring that all Trust policies are adhered to within the health care environment. Works within multi-professional team to audit and improve the quality of care for pregnant women with diabetes, by utilising/applying research/ evidence base in their practice. Ensure the delivery of health promotion and education strategies relevant to the area, making use ofavailable resources and facilitate staff to be proactive in the implementation of the strategy. To assist in the formulation of policies and protocols and to set standards of performance for care of women within antenatal clinic. Attendance of management meetings to ensure a quality service is maintained and future developments implemented. Exercise leadership by example and always act in a professional manner to both patients and relatives.
