We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Payroll Team at Gallagher Global Brokerage. As a Payroll Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our payroll team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional UK & EMEA payroll services to Gallagher Global Brokerage and its subsidiaries. Your role will involve managing team performance, processing payroll, administering pensions and benefits, and handling all other payroll-related requirements. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing a high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise will contribute to the long-term development of our payroll function, ensuring its continuous improvement and alignment with industry best practices. How you'll make an impact Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the UK & EMEA payroll function, along with ownership of work distribution and allocation of priorities. Responsible for the implementation of new payroll administration where required within the UK & EMEA. Support strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring all Merger & Acquisition activity is completed successfully. Responsible for the team to meet contractual targets and in line with operational (procedural) standards in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for managing team members within Gallagher Policies and Procedures, including performance management. Responsible for the payroll service compliance with GDPR and data protection policy and initiatives. Accountable for the monthly control & reconciliation process, in line with all internal and external Audit requirements. Accountable for the administration of payments in line with company policy and procedure along with all statutory and audit responsibilities and requirements. Responsible to ensure pension administration, including but not limited to payments, reports to relevant bodies, auto enrolment, are all correctly processed and managed according to relevant deadlines. Ensure the payroll system is fully tested and compliant with current legislation. Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll and taxation legislation within the UK & EMEA that may impact on the processing and payment of remuneration. Review, update and maintain office procedures and process documentation. Maintain relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, in particular the HR Support model. Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business. About You Experience of using HR &Payroll systems, ORACLE experience would be an advantage but not essential HR & Payroll transactional experience Detailed understanding of payroll Understanding and knowledge of FCA rules and guidelines relating to commercial and private customers.
