About the role The Compliance Specialist (Regulatory Intelligence) will make a significant contribution to the effectiveness of the Compliance function through the provision of comprehensive support and ongoing analysis of regulatory risk, including but not limited to the provision of regulatory intelligence through horizon scanning to identify future regulatory changes. You will work proactively with first line colleagues across the Group to promote best practice with the aim of reducing regulatory risk. The role holder will also contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust Consumer Duty culture. As part of a wider team, you will also provide support for the wider Compliance function. Responsibilities Undertake horizon scanning to ensure the function identifies, communicates, supports and monitors the implementation of regulatory change (i.e new / amended regulatory initiatives impacting Just) covering both FCA and PRA conduct and prudential regulatory regimes to ensure compliance. Provide broad regulatory and compliance support and expertise to projects and/or regulatory change programmes. Delivering by business partnering with key stakeholders across the Group to ensure that these are delivered without increasing exposure to unacceptable regulatory risks. Assisting the business in achieving its objectives and to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice Provide consultancy support and technical expertise on key FCA regulatory areas of focus including but not limited to conduct and Consumer Duty. Provide consultancy and technical expertise on key PRA regulatory areas of focus including but not limited to Solvency UK. Ongoing collaboration with colleagues across other first and second line to facilitate appropriate and timely support to key stakeholders across the Group particularly in respect to the assessment of the impact and priority of regulatory change both from an operational perspective but also impact to the Groups strategy and ability to deliver its purpose of helping people achieve a better later life. Skills & Knowledge Proven record of accomplishment in financial services compliance, preferably in the life insurance firm sector, providing regulatory consultancy in respect of both FCA and PRA regulatory framework. Experience of regulatory change identification and analysis of impact to business operation and strategy a key advantage Oversight of successfully implemented regulatory change. Good understanding of the regulatory framework operating within the UK. Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences Solution oriented Strong influencing skills and confident in providing advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders Customer focused with the ability to apply a Consumer Duty lens to the communication and implementation of regulatory intelligence & a strong understanding of all Just products and distribution channels Excellent organisation & project management skills and able to meet deadlines Strong report writing skills and the ability to tailor such to the required audience ensuring both accuracy and clarity.
