THE JOB? The Informatica Platform Lead will operate at a global level working for the Head of Engineering and Platforms and will: Develop a Roadmap for the development of the Informatica Toolset based on our desired capabilities. Act as Technical Lead for Data projects leveraging Informatica product stack. Define overall Informatica data architecture leveraging CDI, Data Quality & Data Governance concepts. Lead the physical design of the MDM solutions that integrates and matches key data sources in a manner that aligns to Belron’s vision. Lead & mentor team of Informatica developers (internal and external) to meet committed project timelines. Ensure Informatica meets the non-functional requirements of Belron as a productionised platform. Support the Data Management Lead in development and deployment of our MDM solutions. Support the adoption of the MDM platforms by assisting in the creation of training and other educational material. Design, develop, modify, configure & debug Informatica workflows. Employ comprehensive unit testing process to ensure the delivery meets the business requirements without compromising performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Debug, tune, and optimize code for optimal performance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Development and implementation of a Informatica platform strategy. Enabling, Informatica (CDGC), as our data governance tool, to drive data democratisation across Belron. Being able to deal with complex source and target system requirements, and accordingly designing both REST API based interactions and Message Queue based interactions. Development, maintenance, and enhancement of Informatica Mappings, Workflows, and processes Fostering the creation of a data-driven culture across Belron. Providing data advisory support to key stakeholders. Acting as the subject matter expert within the organisation and consult with stakeholders to ensure MDM and more widely Data Engineering goals and objectives are met. Implementing principles, policies, standards, and guidelines for good data culture Develops and gives presentations on the power and value of data. iv) COMMUNICATION: Demonstrates the ability to create presentations and deliver them clearly. Influence and educate stakeholders, capturing technical requirements based on business needs. Coach and develop colleagues to make use of data and information and the path to becoming a data-driven organisation. vi) KEY FACTS/STATISTICS: 100% FTE CURRENT ENVIRONMENT AND FUTURE POTENTIAL: Worked within a consultancy environment. Experienced with master data management, reference data management, data integration, data quality and data governance. Ability to analyse data and work directly with business stakeholders to understand the data they use. Familiar with various MDM domains like Customer, Product, Location, and their data models. Demonstrates ambition to grow alongside Belron as we progress our transformation journey. PART B: THE PERSON Essential Desirable Level of Education Degree level Work Experience (industry specific?) Experience of working for a global firm Must have led at least two end-to-end projects using Informatica technology stack with team size of more than three developers. At least 5 years of experience in a technical Informatica strategy or delivery role. Worked in an Agile environment. Motor industry Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of master data management. Implementation of data management projects. Experience in Dev Ops Good Knowledge on Data Warehousing and Mesh concepts Competencies Good analytical, written, oral, and presentation skills with proven record of effectively communicating outputs from business analysis. Influencing skills and ability to engage both technical and business colleagues to achieve target outcomes. Coaching and people development. Circumstances (distance to office, required start date, ability to travel, work weekends etc.) 2 to 3 days per week in our UK Head Office (Egham). The days will need to be split between Egham and Bedford offices during UK Transformation Programme. International Travel may be needed to accommodate European country transformations.
