A client within the private sector based in Lancashire is currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a construction environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to assist in the provision of quantity surveying services under the direction of the Directors and senior staff.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Comply with the clients internal quality assurance management procedures and governance;
2. Prepare estimates, cost plans, undertake interim valuations, cost reports and value for money reports;
3. Preparation of interim valuations, contract instructions and final accounts;
4. Contract administration and cost control;
5. Tender document preparation; Tender reporting;
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require to be educated to NVQ Level 4 in a construction-related discipline as well as a minimum of 2 years' experience for a construction-related organisation.
It will be essential to have experience in the following:
1. Experience of developing and managing contracts;
2. Proven track record of assisting in a high-quality, high-volume customer-led service;
3. Demonstrate competence in a housing or technical construction discipline;
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering between up to £30,000 p/a.
