Basic Function
Starting in Summer 2025, the Placement Student will support the UK HR function across the employee lifecycle by assisting with the execution of recruiting and sourcing of quality candidates for the London Office and serving as a key HR customer service contact for all site employees.
Recruitment
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities
1. Identify, screen and place qualified candidates in a variety of roles, introducing creative recruitment strategies for hard to fill roles. This may involve using tools such as LinkedIn recruiting, recruitment agencies and referrals.
2. Manage the on-boarding process by acting as the incumbents main point of contact from the offer stage to start date, creating offer letters and arranging medicals and clearance checks.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to ensure stakeholder satisfaction throughout the recruitment process.
4. Assist with the Graduate Development Programme recruitment, making suggestions for improvement of current processes.
HR Coordination
1. Support the wider HR Team with HR requests, maintaining an open-door policy for employees and managers.
2. Update and maintain employee records according to required procedures.
3. Coordinate various learning initiatives by sourcing appropriate training providers and organising sessions where required.
4. Lead on adhoc projects throughout the year.
5. Provide administrative support for all HR projects.
Critical Skills/Leadership Criteria
1. Hold the legal right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis without restrictions, or meet the relevant criteria for employer sponsorship.
2. Currently in your penultimate year at university, studying a degree in a relevant discipline.
3. A passion for developing a long-term career in Human Resources.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft software applications.
6. Strong networking and collaboration skills with the ability to build working relationships.
7. Organised with the ability to handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
8. A results-oriented self-starter with an ability to work individually and as a team.
