We are looking to appoint new Healthcare Assistants to join our team on Chartridge Ward. We are looking for enthusiastic & caring individuals, with excellent communication skills. We require you to have a good standard of English and numeracy skills, and a passion for looking after older people. Main duties of the job Waterside Unit is a 21 bedded ward within the Community and rehabilitation Division. We care for individuals who are medically optimised following a period of time in acute care, but who require rehabilitation and nursing support until the appropriate care can be put into place in the community. This could be in the form of a Package of Care in the patients own home, or a placement in a Nursing or Residential Home. Our patients often have multiple health needs & chronic conditions. You will need to have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, the ability to work both within a team and independently, and the ability to offer a high level of nursing care. Training and clinical supervision opportunities are available to the successful candidates. Working on Waterside Unit you will be working closely with a large multi-disciplinary team consisting of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, pharmacists, social workers & discharge coordinators.
