Purpose Of The Job Help create and implement a technical strategy and technical improvements for the Harlow production processes, focusing on LHA, Specials and Tower production plant capability and efficiency in line with the site’s manufacturing, safety and quality strategies and the overall company targets. Deliver overall equipment effectiveness improvement by identification and remediation of technical/plant issues – primarily rate and quality losses. Main Accountabilities Support site process safety improvement plan Support site SHE performance through process confirmation programme and embodying adherence to company safety standards and rules Support site annual shut down activities, with a particular focus on commissioning activities Run continuous improvement programme for the LHA, Specials and Tower production processes Improve the sites continuous improvement process by ensuring active involvement from all stakeholders Represent the process team in morning PDR meeting for maintenance of plant performance. Run and actively participate in lean six sigma type activities on the Harlow Site Help create and support the Harlow Manufacturing Strategy actively in developing improved production processes on the Harlow Site Support the Harlow Leadership Team in developing and delivering the Site Value Gap Support the sites CAPEX project portfolio in terms of scoping, planning, execution and commissioning Champion and engage in lean process improvement tools incl. leading 5S, RCA and PD-board meetings Lead / act as commissioning manager for to major changes to plant where required Support new product introduction processes on site Give technical support to production when required Take the lead in technical investigations resulting from incidents or customer complaints Support site audit program as ISO trained internal auditor Participate in LEAN six sigma training Deliver LEAN Six Sigma projects across division Minimum Requirements Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar field with industrial experience. Understanding of SHE management systems and safety protocols on a COMAH facility. Strong knowledge of production processes in a chemical manufacturing environment. Ability to analyse data and develop action plans to address quality / production and engineering issues. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
